Nuusic show absolutely no signs of slowing their impressive work rate; with their second release of February. Featuring three extremely talented producers & a legendary vocalist making a triumphant return to Jungle.
Teej is back. But he’s not alone.
The suitably named ‘Warcry’ leads the charge. A deep throbbing bass-line and a long growling apocalyptic synth, accompanied by Teej’s signature stripped back & crisp drum-work, set the tone for Teej’s 3rd Nuusic EP.
The 2nd track; ‘Akuma,’ announces itself with breaks tighter than a Tory’s purse-strings. The following all-encompassing bass line fills speaker boxes and sub-cravings alike. Intermittent 90’s rave stabs punctuate throughout conjuring memories of dark & dangerous basement dances.
Welcome back Riko Dan. The London City Warlord makes his return to Jungle; spitting flames and fury over a heavyweight riddim courtesy of Teej & Disrupta. Snappy breaks and a bass-line throwing more wobble than a raver’s 4.am jawline give this track all the hallmarks of an instant classic.
Teej & Jappa round off this scarily heavy EP with ‘16 Speakers.’ Both Jappa & Teej’s crisp drum flairs and gunfinger inducing snares shine through here; accompanied by a bass line & synth born of a perfect melding of both these hideously talented producer’s styles.
NUU014 - we’re not messing around.
